The AI lives on your iPhone.

Predictions, pattern detection and recognising who’s in a photo all run locally, through Apple CoreML. Only two things ever leave the device: the words you type into AI search, and a short summary — your child’s age in months and the like — attached when a paid plan opens an article. Neither includes your free-text notes, your photos, or your child’s name.

So how does this hold up?

Partner Ultra and Ultra, monthly. Partner Ultra costs less in exchange for letting anonymized statistics help medical research; Ultra, for parents who’d rather not, can end-to-end encrypt posts, your album and your care records. From free accounts we take nothing — not ad revenue, not data.

Questions parents ask

Is storage for photos and videos really unlimited?

There is no cap on how many photos and videos you keep, how much space they take, or how long we keep them — on every plan, including Free. Videos longer than three minutes keep their original in cold storage and come back within a few hours of a request, while a three-minute highlight always plays instantly. Partner Ultra and Ultra keep every original warm, in 4K. Two conditions apply. 1) Family use only: the storage is for photos, videos and records of the care, health and growth of a child in your legal custody. It isn’t a general-purpose cloud backup, and the Terms don’t allow using it that way. 2) Fair use: to prevent misuse, uploading an extreme amount in a short period may temporarily pause new uploads for your family. Nothing is deleted, you can still view, download and share everything you’ve saved, and uploads resume automatically as time passes. Typical family use doesn’t come close. If you think you’ve been limited by mistake, contact us.

What exactly is free?

Feeding, sleep, diaper, temperature and growth logs, photos and videos, family sharing and grandparent invites, Apple Watch and widgets — all free. The paid plans add AI (predictions for the next feeding and sleep, your morning brief, pattern insights, and AI search), voice logging, 4K video, the ability to create private circles, and member-only articles.

What happens to my records if I leave?

Delete your account and every piece of personal data attached to it — logs, photos, videos, growth records — is removed from our servers within 30 days. Deletion can’t be undone. Before you go, you can export your records from settings at any time. There is one exception: statistics contributed through Partner Ultra are anonymized at the moment they are collected and can no longer be traced back to you, so they fall outside deletion requests.

Who makes memori?

The Institute of LAG Research — a research institute working in AI, data science and medical research, incorporated in Delaware with its Japanese office in Fukuoka. memori is run by its media division. Articles are written by its founder, Leon Moriguchi, whose research is in computational medicine, pathophysiology and AI safety in medicine, with peer-reviewed sources cited throughout. No outside expert reviewer is involved at this time; once that is in place, reviewed articles will say so.

What devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 26.2 or later, and Apple Watch on watchOS 11 or later. You can also read everything from a browser on a computer or tablet. An Android version is in development.

Can I bring my history over from another app?

Yes. Export your data from PiyoLog and import it, and you carry on from where you left off — the whole history comes across, not just today onward.
